Why should I hire a licensed plumber?

Plumbers in Indiana are required to attend a four-year plumbing school in order to obtain their license and perform service repairs. When you call Hudson Plumbing, you’re scheduling service with a licensed and insured plumbing company. All of our technicians either carry an active plumbing license or are enrolled in a four-year school. To learn about what it takes to obtain a plumbing license, please click here.

My water bill just went up — Why?

There are a number of reasons why your water bill may have increased. The most blatant answer is that there’s been an uptick in water use, whether that was inadvertent or not. Some of the common reasons for a big water bill include a toilet that won’t quick running, an underground leak, or even long showers.

How much does a new water softener cost?

The cost of a water softener depends on the scope of work. For example, the cost of removing an old water softener and replacing it with a modern system may have a set installation cost; whereas plumbing for a new water softener may not be a fixed rate. Contact your local plumber to discuss your specific water softener needs by phone at 765-349-0900.

Do you offer financing?

At Hudson Plumbing, we are temporarily partnering with Home Bank to meet your financing needs while we continue to research long-term solutions.

How long should a water heater last?

Most traditional tank water heaters last between 8 and 12 years, sometimes longer when used in conjunction with a functioning water softener.
